ART OF COLLAGE
Collage is pasting bits of paper, cloth onto a flat surface to make a pictorial expression or pattern. Collage is a French word that means ‘pasting’ or ‘gluing’. 3- Scissors, Knife Razor blade etc
4- Broom
5- board, cardboard straw board, canvas etc.

PROCESS
STEP 1- To create collage, you need to make drawing first on a suitable surface of choice like board, cardboard straw board, canvas etc.
STEP 2- Then, several tones of different colours were cut from old calendars into tiny pieces. STEP 3- The drawing is covered with glue.
STEP 4- broomstick is dipped in glue before used to pick each tone of colour, placing each pieces together side by side until it assumed the entire working space.
STEP 5: The finished work could be placed on the wall as a mural.

Conclusively, collage is cheap to practice by students but it usually requires painstaking attempt and much patience.

ADIRE- TIE AND DYE PRACTICAL CLASS

ADIRE - TIE AND DYE.

Adire translates as tie and dye, perhaps more than any art form, Adire textile reflects
the richness of Nigerian cultural heritage. For this reason making of the Art of Adire
should be encouraged in schools, and it could be adopted as school uniforms as a way
of promoting our culture.
The Adire textiles are a viable means of which the rich African Cultural heritage
and ideas could be conveyed to other culture and outside world.
Adire, tie and dye is a resist process, which consists of tying, knotting, folding
or sewing certain parts of the cloth in a way that when immersed in dye solution,
the dye will not penetrate into the tied area of the fabric.
The production of Adire textile is done in two ways in which both are resist methods
of dying a pattern on a fabric. A part of the cloth is protected before it is immersed
into the dye bath. The resisting agent, such as rafia or cotton thread resists the dye
so as not to penetrate into the resisted areas.

THE MERITS OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE

The merits of regular physical activity — from preventing chronic health conditions to promoting weight loss and better sleep — are hard to ignore. And the benefits are ones for the taking, regardless of age, sex or physical ability. The students come out every Wednesday morning in their uniformed sport wears for sport. The sport activities ranging from Football to Tracks events, Hand ball, Hockey etc. The coordinators are Mrs. Ajao and Mr. Fagbeji Mathew.

To further buttress on the importance of physical activity, it is good to know what Physical exercise is. Physical activity is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. It is performed for various reasons. These include strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance and for enjoyment. Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts the immune system, and helps prevent the "diseases of affluence" such as heart disease, It also improves mental health, helps prevent depression, helps to promote or maintain positive self-esteem, and can even augment an individual's sex appeal or body image, which again is also linked with higher levels of self-esteem. Physical exercise may help decrease the effects of childhood obesity.
